LifePoint Theological Institute & Seminary is a theological learning college offering dynamic and sound practical Christian programs. The vision of LTIS is to train, equip and mobilise believers for effective work of ministry in fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations. Our courses are flexible and cost- effective while allowing the student to continue serving in their respective local churches.
We realize that the traditional accreditation process for many institutions is a difficult, costly, and rigorous requirement. This accreditation nightmare is primarily sought to educate people in preparation for a secular life-time career and without the assistance of the kinds of financial aid available only to students enrolled in accredited schools, the extraordinarily high cost of tuition and fees would make it impossible for those students to attend a Christian institution. At LTIS, our goal is totally different. We do not prepare our students for secular career work which requires secular accreditation. Our calling is the equipping and improvement of the ministry skills of men and women already serving or preparing to serve in Christian ministry. This is why we offer authentic programs that meet real-world ministry needs, while hoping to grow into a potentially well accredited Institution for those who would use our programs as a career path in the future. That is the primary reason why we have chosen to maximise our ministerial training freedom to stand true to the teachings of Scripture, and to avoid the potentially restrictive social and financial entanglements of the current accreditation system. If you are studying for the purpose of career seeking employment or secular academic purpose, then make sure that you find a secular accredited institution which will help you in your career path. Ours is to prepare the saints for the works of service.
Romans 14:12 (NIV) “12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.” Therefore, we know that our ultimate accountability is to God. Just as Paul also wrote to the Romans, we too will have to “give an account to God” on things we are doing. LifePoint Theological Institute & Seminary falls under the spiritual oversight of Lifepoint church Eldership team which sees the church beyond its locality through Evangelical, Pentecostal and Charismatic eyes. Lifepoint church is broad in its belief system with an emphasis on the absolute authority of the Scriptures, the practical lordship of Jesus Christ and the ministry of the Holy Spirit and His gifts to the body.
Dr. Jack T. Tsoai is the founding president of LifePoint Theological Institute and Seminary (LTIS). With several years of experience as a high school educator, Dr. Tsoai sensed a profound divine calling in his life, prompting a pivotal transition from his teaching career to pursuing theological studies at Baptist Theological College in Johannesburg. He subsequently broadened his academic qualifications through esteemed institutions such as the University of Pretoria, UNISA, MANCOSA, and St. Augustine University. He achieved credentials in education, law, leadership, and theology, culminating in a Doctorate in Theology. In addition to planting and leading multiple churches, Dr Tsoai has travelled extensively across the African continent and beyond, including the UK and Australia. On the 8th of June 2013, he embarked on a transformative journey by establishing a translocal partnership of churches, dedicated to training church leaders, planting new congregations, assisting others in church planting, and empowering the priesthood of all believers on a global scale.Dr Tsoai is the present leader of LifePoint church and the Tribe Collective translocal movement of churches.
Pastor Mo Makhalemele is the founding principal and dean of our Christian Counselling major stream. Affectionately known as “Ps Mo,” he holds over 13 qualifications, including a BSc in Computer Science, an MCom in Development Finance, and an MBA. He has studied at prestigious institutions such as the University of Cape Town, Wits University, and the University of Johannesburg. He recently completed his theology and Christian counselling training at the South African Theological Seminary. Ps Mo has an extensive professional background in corporate while also serving in academia on a part-time basis. He was a lecturer at Varsity College, a research supervisor at Wits Business School, and an academic writing fellow at Wits Plus for Psychology Honours students. In corporate, he served in various strategy and change leadership roles for companies such as Standard Bank Group, Liberty Group, Accenture, Barclays Capital, Absa (Global Markets), FNB (International Banking), South African Revenue Services (SARS), and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). He is currently active in pastoral leadership at LifePoint Church under the leadership of Dr Tsoai.
Our fees are R 440.00 per module which also includes study material. All our courses can be completed through correspondence or through in-person classes.
